VGA Championship is Saturday Oct 15th. Tee time starts at 8:00am on both 1st and 10th boxes!
Entry Fee = $20 Club member and $60 non-Club members
(includes lunch buffet after the round) at Northwood Country Club - Duluth. Prizes include Top Net and Gross for Flights A & B, Longest Drive and closest to the pin on all par 3s.

First and foremost, I want to apologize for not keeping up with the website. VGA-Atlanta is looking to recruit a web administrator to take over this site full-time and promise to keep everyone informed better in 2012! We are also using VGA facebook to post our day-to-day events.
Reminder: VGA 2011 Championship event this Saturday Oct 15th at Northwood Country Club. This is a 36-hole tournament championship. Top 6 players from each flight will advance to the second round. Tee time for the second round starts at 1:40pm. If you advance to the second round, cart fee is on VGA. Good luck and see you all this Sat.

Congratulations to Eric Truong for winning Gross/Net in April. Eric is one of our junior golfers and he is truely taking advantage of his free time this Summer and to practice at the range. Eric shot a low round of 76 and will continue to go lower.

What a way to begin VGA's 2011 golf season! We filled all 8 tee times and had to reject a few late registrations. We also welcome Long Tran, Steve Do, Kevin Truong, Quang Tran and Mike Song to VGA-Atlanta! Please continue to register early to save your spot for April 16th.
Congratulations to Tung Ngo for winning the first outing of 2011. While Thaiger continues his hot streak with a 75 gross score, Tung's front 9 score of -1 proves to be worthy of winning the trophy! Tung's final score was 73 gross. Congratulations to Thaiger Nguyen and Kevin Khoa for taking 2nd and 3rd places.
The positive feedback from the Vietnamese community about our golf association is undeniable. One person told me, "It's unbelievable that you guys can have fun and find a way to donate more than most businesses in Atlanta!" I don't think we need these comments to motivate us, but it sure helps! After just two official outings (March and Match play), we have collected $400.00 for charity.
Last, but not least, Alex Hung Nguyen (Attorney at Law) has agreed to sponsor our VGA "Fedex" cup (cup name to be announced)! Similar to Fedex points, the top 10 players from each outing will receive points. The player with the most points at the end of the year will get the bragging rights and the prestigious "Fedex" trophy. See current standing below. See you all next outing!
