Membership Information
In 2010, VGA will host 7 golf outings (see calender) and a tournament. The tournament are based on handicaps established during VGA outings.
VGA will establish your handicap based on your outing and tournament scores. Our final competition, the VGA Championship, is a two-day tournament followed by a trophy presentation. We plan to have an end-of-the-year awards banquet. Location to be determined!
Tournament Rules:
1. Have fun!
2. Meet new golf buddies!
3. Groups based on handicap level.
4. 12 is the max score for any hole.
5. Play where the ball lies.
Stakes:
White Stakes: out of bounds- re-tee (hit a provisional). If you find the 1st ball in-bound, you can play it.
Yellow Stakes: penalty drop- you can go as far back toward the original shot (keep in that same entry line)
Red Stakes: 1 stroke penalty and 2 club lengths from the point of entry line.
